  1. If we were to move Nylander, ideally you'd want to move him out to the West. Edmonton could be an option. Larsson and Puljujarvi would be two names I'd have interest in. If we did deal Nylander within the Eastern Conference, Severson from New Jersey is someone I'd go hard after. That deal would probably have to be bigger and wouldn't be surprised if Liljegren had to be involved.
  2. Riley Sheahan is someone I'd look into for that 3rd line center role. Wouldn't break the bank, good on faceoffs, would probably cost 2 million or so per year. He's been over 50% in the circle the past 3 years... It would also give us great size down the middle with Matthews, Tavares, Sheahan and Gauthier.
  3. I'm a big fan of Kadri but I'd definitely look into packaging him for a defenseman that could replace Hainsey and play with Rielly. There's a lot of solid options in free agency that we could look into for that 3rd line center position while allowing Tavares and Matthews for a little more ice time.
  4. I can't wait to hear what the rat has to say after we eliminate them!!!
  5. I wonder if the Bruins will split that top line and maybe put the rat on the second line to spread it out a little. Our depth was the biggest issue for them yesterday. PS, that Moore kid looked fantastic last night on the fourth line!
  6. Willy played great tonight... He even used his body a few times out there! Bring on Saturday!!!
  7. Best game I've seen this team play all year! We were skating and finishing our checks!
  8. It's nice seeing our guys actually finishing their checks!
  9. It's nice not seeing Sparks backing up Freddy lol
  10. Trust me, I'm hoping you're right... If we could somehow unload that 6 million dollar cap hit, I'm all for it. Just don't see it happening unfortunately.
  11. The way his cap is structured is definitely nice for a rebuilding team, but he's also got a NTC... The only reason he left San Jose was because we were offering him the 3rd year, why would he now waive his clause to go to a shitty rebuilding team from a cup contending team especially at his age and never having won it before.
  12. His contract is low enough to be put on waivers/sent down without having any cap count towards us
  13. Think it's safe to say we hopefully have seen the last of Sparks in net for the blue and white. People laughed when I said this but Hutchinson is definitely a better option for the backup role. Wouldn't mind using our last call-up on him or if we re-signed him to backup Freddy next year.
  14. Sparks will probably be playing overseas next year lol
  15. Zaitsev has been better in the second half of this season but not by much, I'm just hoping it's enough to find a trading partner for him this summer...
  16. What a bad goal to give up... Sparks is fucking awful wow...
  17. With the Bolts only a couple wins away from making NHL history and the Habs fighting for their playoff lives, yes I'd start Freddy considering our last game is on Saturday and we don't start the playoffs until Thursday? Plenty of time for rest in between and it gives Freddy and the entire team playoff like games. Don't see Babcock starting Freddy on a back to back tonight and it would be stupid to sit him out until Saturday. What if he gets lit up on Saturday? Then all of Leafs nation would be in panic mode heading into the playoffs with a ton of pressure on Freddy.
  18. I highly doubt this happens but if we can somehow manage to trade Marleau to another team or he somehow happens to get a skin disease like Hossa to get rid of his cap, that would be nice lol
  19. Have Sparks play against the Canes and Freddy versus the Lightning and Habs!
  20. Not to mention Tavares set a franchise record for the most goals by a center in a single season!
