Spring training has officially started for the 2013 season!  The expectations going into this season are higher than they've been in a decade (since Clemens signed here).

Oh I have no idea and frankly I don't care because he's going to be a backup SS in AAA....why bother keeping him when you can let someone like Ryan Goins get AB's?

I'm not saying he should be kept. But if he's out for awhile, he can be put on 60 day dl and removed from the 40 man roster. But if he's out for just a few days or week, then we just get rid of him from 40 man roster(and likely the team in general), or if he's gonna be out for a time that's not enough to have him on the 60 day DL, but also isn't a time that's soon, we might just be stuck with him(since we can't release a guy who's on the DL)

Fantasy baseball rankings:(either overall or just average based on numerous people from the site)

c
JP-17th on yahoo,18th on ESPN

1B
EE-4th on Yahoo,5th on ESPN(4th of all possible DH)
Lind-36th on Yahoo,47th on ESPN(28th of all possible DH)

2B
Izturis-Not rated on yahoo, 29th on ESPN

3B
Lawrie-8th on yahoo,8th on ESPN

SS
Reyes-3rd on yahoo,3rd on ESPN

OF:
Bautista-7th on yahoo,9th on ESPN
Melky-31st on yahoo,28th on ESPN
Rasmus-63rd on yahoo,49th on ESPN
Bonifacio(counted as an OF)-68th on yahoo,61st on ESPN

SP:
Dickey-15th on yahoo,15th on ESPN
Morrow-27th on yahoo,29th on ESPN
Johnson-33rd on yahoo,32nd on ESPN
Romero-73rd on yahoo,111th on ESPN
Buehrle-89th on yahoo,75th on ESPN

RP:
Janssen-20th on yahoo,27th on ESPN
Santos-41st on yahoo,50th on ESPN

Of all those, surprising ones are:

Izturis(who isn't even rated on yahoo)

Melky(both sites still seem him around a top 30 OF)

Romero(a guy who just 1 season ago had ERA below 3,isn't even in top 100 on ESPN for SP anymore)

Janssen(projected to have basically same amount of saves in 2013, even though 2012 he wasn't a closer for 1st month of season, and Jays only had 73 wins, so I see him more in the 30 range)

Likely a move just done to see if we can send him to AAA or if someone else will claim him.

With Cooper out, we do need another 1B in AAA, so might as well have Anderson on the team.

Signing a guy who just 3 years ago was a top 100 prospect and is only 25 won't hurt. Maybe there's some tweak in his swing or something that needs to be done.

mike mccoy is a horrible baseball player... but as a person, that dude is all about the team... never complains, gets puts in situations where he can't look good... like CF, and hitting #1 or #2, he's pitched he's played every position he was asked to play... if he could hit even .230 he'd be great to have in AAA just to have if we need him... but he barely hit .130 so fuck off

I won tickets to the game that he had to pitch... imagine winning great seats to a Jays game and you bring your girlfriend, to try to get her into the game a bit... and Mike McCoy comes out to the mound... mission failed

Romero really trying to fix back up his slider.

Threw it alot in his start today.

Hopefully that is a pitch he can get back under control. In 2012 batters hit .328 against the sinker, compared to .194 in 2011.

Morrow is basically the one who got that type of information and gave a printout to Romero lol.
