2018-19 Trade Thread

Recommended Posts

I heard talk the other day about leafs using Liljegren + to get help now.

Not sure I'm a fan.

I'm not convinced adding one piece, no matter who, will put the leafs over the top.

I'd like to see them win a playoff round or two with this team before pushing all the chips in to go for it.

Any reservations about moving the 1st round pick this year?

All hands on deck. Matthews, Rielly, Freddie, marner, Tavares, dermott, Liljegren are the only untouchables I can see. Other than that, if it makes us better and doesn’t cripple us within the next 4 or 5 years, you do it.

Aint happening with this current team, unfortunately..

i do agree though that we need more than one piece and just one isnt going to fix it

Definitely don’t see anyone having interest in Zaitsev. That contract is a boat anchor at this point.

That is Kypreos' proposal, FWIW. Or he suggested maybe Johnsson instead of Kapanen. 'Cause they have the same value.

'Cause Kypreos.

Nylander - Liljjgren - Sparks to Carolina for: Hamilton, Ferland, Mcelhinney

Johnsson, Gardiner 2019 2nd  to Anaheim for: Manson , Ritchie

Brown and our 2019 1st  to Philly for, Simmonds

sign Bieska or try to trade Zaitsev to the rangers for McQuaid

Ferland - Matthews - Kapanen (speed with a grinder)

Hyman - JT - Marner (already known)

Ritchie - Kadri - Simmonds (a way to gain the 1-2-3 punch)

I would probably want Sandin on that list of untouchables. Not that I know much about him, but I've heard recently that he has passed Liljegren on the depth chart.

Hamilton can't seem to stick with a team,, an at a young age still. Seems to be something goin on there.

Ferland I only know from watching a bit with Calgary. I remember him taking lots of reckless penalties.

Seriously. Our team has the right talent on forward. I don't see us needing a change up front other than getting our players to play the right way again.

Get Gardiner's head screwed back on straight like it was for the first 2 months of the season, and get one upgrade on the D and were a team that can make some noise.

Last thing we need is to shake things up and move multiple players.

Well they play opposite sides. So I’m not sure who’s saying he passed anyone in the depth charts. From everything I’ve read anyways, the teams sees Liljegren as near NHL ready and Sandin at least another year away though. I’d even think in terms of readiness, Rosen is ahead of Sandin

I think it was Buttons TSN top 50 prospect list. I think he has Sandin mid range and Liljegren on even on the top 50.
